Glengad United           9

Culdaff replied with Eugene McLaughlin flashing a corner across the face of goal but there were no takers before Noel McLaughlin intercepted a loose pass but drilled well wide. Culdaff  got a goal back midway through the half when a Ryan Greene free found Dillon Ruddy who slotted home at the back post despite the best efforts of Kevin McLaughlin. Two excellent finishes from McMonagle and Matthew Byrne inside five minutes made it four one. The home side kept battling and Michael Coyle had a superb header brilliantly saved by McLaughlin. From the corner by Eugene McLaughlin it was Ryan Greene ‘s header which came back off the post and Michael Coyle fired the rebound over. Glengad increased their lead on 51 minutes when O’Donnell saved well from McMonagle but in the scramble the ball deflected off a defender to the net. Substitute Paul McDermott then broke clear but his chip sailed over the bar while at the other end a Noel McLaughlin effort was straight at keeper McLaughlin. With the home side tiring badly Doherty slammed home his second of the game after good work from McMonagle. Two late goals from Paul McDermott completed the rout.
