Inishowen hold a 2-1 advantage into next Wednesday night 2nd leg game in the Gregory Kearney thophy Inishowen went a goal down after 7 min when a cross from Meek Harkin into the area was not cleared and P.J. Ward slotted past Kevin Mc Laughlin in the Inishowen goal, Inishowen gradually worked their way into the game and Nigel Mc Monagle and Brendan Mc Laughlin combined for the latter to sooot from the edge of the area only to see SML keeper Eugene Ferry turn his effort around the post Mc Laughlin then saved fron Collette and Ferry denied Benny Mc Laughlin, Inishowen keeper Mc Laughlin had to be at his best to tip over the bar a Damien Mc Gee free from 30 yards, Inishowen were more in control in the second half and equalised on 54 min when Brendan Mc Laughlin’s free took a deflection and beat Ferry SML were reduced to ten men shortly after that and Inishowen controled the game after this Inishowen went ahead shortly afterwards when a great run down the right by Michael Barr his pin point cross was powerfully headed past Ferry by Anthony Doherty to hold the advantage going into the second leg
