The home side had an early chance when Patrick Dawson fired over the bar from distance. Cockhill settled and Garbhan Friels header from a Christy McLaughlin corner was easily saved. Cockhill opened the scoring on 8 minutes after a scuffed effort from Friel fell to Jack Mullan to fire to the roof of the net.
At the other end Dawson saw his twenty five yards free go just wide. Cockhill doubled their lead after a great run from Lee Mclaughlin and he slipped the ball into the path of Stephen Duffy who executed a superb finish.
They made it three nil on 41 minutes when Friel crossed from the right for Duffy to flick the ball home at the near post. The second half saw he visitors have to wait until the 75th minute to add to their tally when after a Corey McBride free was blocked down Damien Duffy fired a superb effort to the net from twenty yards. The home side responded and James Deegan was denied by a good save from Harry Doherty . Stephen Duffy then completed his hat trick and Cockhills fifth firing home after a Damien Duffy corner fell to him. The home sides best chance fell to James Deegan when he got behind the Cockhill defence but with Doherty to beat his effort crashed off the bar. At the other end Stephen Duffy fired over before Luke Ruddens dink over the keeper also cleared the bar. Rudden completed the scoring when he headed home from a Conor Graham cross to send the holders marching on.

Blackforge(Dublin) 2 AET Blackforge win 2-1 on pens
The first fifteen minutes was a very even affair with both teams feeling each other out. Aileach were first to threaten when Shane McMonagle got space 25yards from goal but his left foot effort was well off target. The home side were on top now and Darren McMonagle released Daniel Doherty who drove into the box but Jamie Coyne did well to tip his firmly struck shot over the bar.
From the resulting corner Aileach took the lead when Reece McGilloway floated a lovely cross for Shane McMonagle to head home at the back post. Blackforge responded and Ian Crowzer had an effort from 25 yards which just cleared Dylan Porters bar. Almost on the stroke of half time the away side grabbed an equaliser when Jonathan Massey got his head to a low cross and his looping header fell just inside Porters right hand post. Blackforge started the second half well and following a corner the ball was played back to Darren Goode but the big centre half’s effort cleared the bar. The away side got their noses in front on the hour when Thomas Doran was given too much time in the box and he managed to flick the ball beyond Porter to the top right hand corner .With ten minutes remaining Aileach got a deserved equaliser when a quick free kick found Daniel Doherty who crossed or Shane McMonagle to fire home from six yards. The game finished even and in the first period of extra time Aileach had a glorious chance to get their noses in front when Darren Bradley out paced his full back and crossed for Gareth McGlynn but his close range header was just wide of Jackie Coynes left hand post. Penalties eventually arrived and Blackforge ran out two one winners on the spot kicks.

Clonmany had an early chance after a Conor Doherty cross found Jason Devlin whose effort was turned around the post by Dean Mason. From Aaron Porters corner Ryan McColgan headed wide. Greencastle spurned a gilt edged chance then on 9 minutes after Cormac Bradley pounced on a slack pass back but Kieran Friel advanced smartly to block.The Shamrocks broke the deadlock midway through the half with Shane McCaul cutting in from the left and when Mason parried his effort the ball fell for Devlin to slot home. Two goals in a four minute spell before the break then put the home side in control. Firstly a Matthew Brennan cross from the left found Terence Doherty cutting in from the right and he fired low past Mason to the far corner. Then McCaul again cut in from the left and fired in an effort which deceived Mason as the home side went three nil ahead. Clonmany kept the pressure on after the break and Mason in the visitors goal made a fine smothering save to deny Devlin. The Shamrocks added a fourth goal on 54 minutes when a Terence Doherty cross squirmed off the legs of Mason and fell to Aaron Porter to tap in. Minutes later Porter added another goal after dispossessing a defender and advancing to draw Mason out before slipping the ball past him. Nathan Harkin then had two efforts for the visitors when Friel saved the first and the second an audacious effort from inside his own half which drifted just wide. At the other end Porter missed a chance to get his hat trick when he got on the end of a Lorcan McGonigle cross but fired over the bar. The home side added their sixth and final goal on 87 minutes after McColgan and Alex McFadden combined well to set up substitute Gavin Friel to slot home at the back post. Greencastle were denied a consolation after Harkin s effort from wide on the right was finger tipped over the bar by the back tracking Friel.

The home side had the first chance when Mark Farren fed Eamon Donnelly but he fired over the bar when in space outside the area. On 16 minutes Shaun Curran made ground through the middle and fed Caelan McDaid but he shot just past the post.Illies responded and Deaglan Bowns cross found Oran Doherty whose effort was well saved by Semus Houghton diving to his right. The home side opened the scoring on the stroke of half time when Curran made ground on the left and crossed for Darragh McConway to head to the top corner giving Johnathan Noone no chance. Illies were first to threaten in the second half with Bowens corner finding Shaun Mulhern but he headed just over the bar. Midway through the half the home side responded with Curran again the architect finding McConway who shot just over the bar. At the other end Paddy Curran headed just wide from an Oran Doherty cross. Illies kept pressing and in the 85th minute Ethan Doherty fed Curran whose low effort was well saved by Houghton. This proved to be their last chance as the home side ground out a crucial win.

The visitors were first to threaten when Ordhan Hillen’s cross was pushed onto the crossbar by Eoghan O’Doherty in the home goal. The Hearts took the lead on 19 minutes after Jerry Gill’s cross was headed down by Eoin McNamee for Hugh Aaron McGonagle to fire past Joshua Doherty. Jerry Gill then made it two nil on 22 minutes following a Thomas Adair’s cross which found McNamee whose shot was superbly saved but Gill reached quickest to fire home the rebound. The home side were first to threaten in the second half Downey’s superb cross just eluded the inrushing McGonagle. The visitors did get back in the game on 54 minutes through an own goal. At the other end from a corner on 56 minutes the ball fell to McNamee who drilled the ball into the corner from just inside the box beyond Doherty to make it three one. On the hour mark Ethan Soal played a lovely through ball to McGonagle who cooly slotted past the advancing Doherty. Liam Duncan made it five with a fine finish from 20 yards. Aileach got a consolation in the final minute through Charlie Campbell to leave the final score five two to the home side.

In drizzly wet conditions on Sunday afternoon the first half was a very tight affair with neither goalkeeper
troubled and defences on top throughout. It all changed seven minutes into the second half when QPS opened the scoring with mark Moran pouncing on a loose ball inside the area after the home defence failed to clear to drill low past Philip Doherty. On 65 minutes the home side went close to an equaliser after Cian Moran intercepted a defensive pass rounded a defender but saw his goal bound shot cleared off the line. The point replied and from a corner Denim Mclaughlin glanced a header just over the bar. The visitors were then reduced to ten men after Shay Lynch was red carded for a mistimed tackle. Dunree pressed for the remaining stages of the game but the visitors defence stood firm to claim the points.

After a very even opening twenty minutes the visitors hit the front when Taylor Bonner found Shane Diver who crossed for Cian McNamee to slot home at the back post. Within two minutes they had added another with Kyran Cantwells deflected effort looping into the air and falling kindly to Bonner to slot home. Diver then had an effort saved by Stephen Teles before Nathan Doherty headed just wide after a corner. Before the break Moville went close after Norbert Indyka created space for himself but saw his thirty yards effort well tipped over by Nimai Osio. Moville started the second half really well with Luke McFadden s low shot well saved low yo his left by Osio. McFadden then created space but curled a shot just wide before the same player got on the end of Marcus Rule s cross but headed wide.Against the run of play Gleneely increased their lead when Diver latched onto a long ball over the top to run clear and finish past Teles. The visitors controlled the remainder of the game after this with a Nathan Doherty header cleared off the line by Rowan Doherty before Billy McCann was denied by Teles. The Colts added their fourth goal when after good work by Diver on the right saw his cross converted by Cantwell.

The home side began well with a David Healy effort on five minutes well saved by Odhran Douglas. Two minutes later they opened the scoring after Shaun McIvor broke on the left and squared the ball for Hugo Curran to slot home from eight yards. Culdaff responded with Bryan McCandless narrowly off target before Dylan McLaughlin s turn and shot was well saved by Stephen Slattery in the home goal. But the home side regained control with Healy denied by Douglas and John McCloskey firing just over. Sean Og Gallagher then doubled their lead firing a penalty high to Douglas s right hand side after he had been upended. Gallagher then failed to connect with a McCloskey cross while the visitors had the final chance of the half after Jack Curley blazed over the bar when well placed. Culdaff dominated the second half with an early Thomas O’Brien free headed just wide by Gary Smyth. Both McCandless and Mclaughlin then drew good saves from Stephen Slattery before another free from O’Brien came off the wall and his follow up was also saved by Slattery. On 68 minutes Caden Doherty advanced on the left hand side and cut in but fired just wide. Doherty then got a goal back for the visitor on 75 minutes when he pounced after defensive hesitancy to drill home from eight yards. Doherty was then denied again by Slattery as Culdaff pressed to salvage a point. But they were caught on the break late on after Mark Wallace cut inside from the left and when his effort was well parried by Douglas the loose ball fell to Thomas McConalogue to slot home and seal the points.

This top two clash in good conditions at the Warren saw the home side take the lead in the 6th minute when
Ronan Doherty capitalized on a defensive error to advance into the area and slot low past Mark McLaughlin from ten yards. They went close again after an inswinging Cahir McElhinney corner found Padhraic Skelly whose
downward header was cleared off the line by a defender. Midway through the half Doherty raced onto a long ball but a last ditch tackle by Conor O Neill averted the danger. Carrowmena continued on top and a short corner from McElhinney to Doherty who laid the ball back to Adam Harkin whose effort flashed over the bar. Against the run of play the league leaders got back on terms on 37 minutes when Matthew Mooney intercepted a defensive pass and drilled low past Sean McGuinness from a tight angle. Rovers penned the home side back until the break but they went in level at the interval. Rovers started the second half on the front foot and took the lead on 59 minutes after a cross from Conor McGeoghaghan to the edge of the area fell to Conor McCloskey whose first time effort went low past the dive of McGuinness. On 85 minutes Rovers added a third goal after a Jason Doherty run on the left saw his cross come off Daniel Gallagher and fell kindly for Andrew Gallagher to slot home from eight yards. The home side had a late corner which McElhinney fed to Daniel Rowan whose first time effort from thirty five yards rattled the crossbar on the way ov

Shay Sweeny had an early chance for the visitors which was well turned away by Ronan Lafferty in the home goal. Glengad settled and opened the scoring on 15 minutes after PJ McDaid in a central position held the ball up before laying it off for Joshua McDevitt to shoot low past Oisin Quigley from fifteen yards. McDevitt then fed McDaid whose twenty five yards effort saw Quigley finger tip the ball onto the bar and his defence cleaned up. The home side added a second on the stroke of half time after Martin Mclaughlin split the visitors defence for jack Lafferty to advance and round Quigley before slotting home. But Redcastle started the second half well and midway through they reduced the deficit when Sweeney s great pass released Gary Kelly to shoot low past the advancing Lafferty. They got back on terms then in the 75th minute when Keelan Henrys deep corner was headed home by Kelly from five yards. Both sides pressed for a winner but the respective defences stood firm to earn a point apiece.

The experience of Cockhill Colts proved too much for a youthful home side with the visitors dominating throughout. Niall Gordon had two early efforts just off target before they opened the scoring on 11 minutes when Darragh Lyons headed home from a corner past Vernon Kelly. Moville replied and when Jay Gillen advanced on the left his low effort was well saved by Declan Caldwell. Cockhill regained control after this with Lyons adding a second with a good strike from the edge of the area. On the stroke of half time the visitors made it three nil when Gordon received a Liam o Donnell pass and drilled low past Kelly from sixteen yards. Midway through the second half the Colts made it four nil with Gavin Doherty s snapshot from inside the area fizzing into the bottom corner. Doherty then added his second on 79 minutes after he advanced on the left and slot low into the far corner past Kelly. The game came to a premature end with a couple of minutes remaining after home defender Derek Geoghegan suffered a knee injury and all involved wish him a speedy recovery.

Reveresed to the Illies Brendan McDaid’s side took the initiative and went ahead in the 10th minute after John Campbell ran through the Dunree defence before blasting past Ciaran Sharkey. Dunree spurned a great chance to level after Patrick Dohertys cross was parried by Conor Doherty and when the ball fell to Paul Jackson his effort crashed off the bar. At the other end Campbell played Caelan Whoriskey clear but he fired tamely at Sharkey when well placed. Dunree got the perfect start to the second half when Patrick Doherty unleashed a superb twenty five yards free kick to the top corner. Illies regrouped and regained the lead on 55 minutes after a Campbell cross from the left found Rory Greene to slot home at the back post from six yards. But again Dunree hit back and when a scramble developed after a corner kick Patrick Doherty hammered home from ten yards. Illies then struck for a late winner after substitute Shane Devlin controlled on the edge of the area before turning his man and firing high to the roof of the net to clinch the points and keep Illies unbeaten run going.
