Illies Celtic 6
Redcastle Utd 0
In what was a clearcut victory, Illies broke the deadlock when a through ball from Stephen Doherty was slotted home by Michael Coyle. Half way through the opening period the score was doubled after Coyle accepted a pass from John Pio Donaghey and drove low past Michael Mc Cole. Redcastle’s best chance of the half came from Ryan Duffy but he could only fire straight at Noone. On 55 minutes Coyle claimed his hat-trick when some sloppy play in the visiting defence allowed him to gain possession, advance on goal and score. They made it 4 – 0 when Dominic Owen Coyle’s corner was headed across goal by Paddy Doherty for Ryan Mc Elhinney to convert at the back post. Dominic Owen Coyle claimed the last two goals and completed the scoring. His first came from an attempt that squeezed under Mc Cole and then he broke into the box to fire home from close in.
