The concession of three goals in the opening quarter made this a mission impossible for the home side. Redcastle opened the scoring on 5 minutes after a Ryan Duffy corner was poked home by the unmarked  Daniel Harkin. Minutes later a defensive error allowed Duffy to chip keeper Adrian Duffy from ten yards. Then a superb cross from Harkin on the left was fired home by Terry McColgan from eight yards. After the restart the home side tried to respond but an excellent Drew Crumlish cross just eluded the inrushing Cory O’Brien. Within minutes Redcastle had increased their lead when Declan Bonner sent Stephen Davenport clear with a long ball over the top and he fired low past Duffy from fifteen yards. One minute later Michael Bonner crossed for Duffy to slot home from ten yards and on 74 minutes another defensive error allowed Michael Bonner to fire into an empty net. Gleneely had a late chance after a Nathan McLaughlin corner fell to Crumlish on the edge of the area but he fired over.
