Good win for Moville

Report

Moville Res         4

Aileach Youth     0

The home side got their league campaign off to an excellent with this win. The opening score arrived on 3 minutes when Norbert Indyka got on the end of an Adam Harkin delivery and he finished low to the net past Dylan Clarke. Aileach replied on the quarter hour mark when a Daibhidh Grant free from 25 yards was just wide. In a fairly even first half the closest opportunity for the visitors to equalise came 10 mins before the break when Callum Porter, under pressure to get his shot away, brought a good save from Moville netminder Ryan Coyle. The home side started brightly after the interval with Kyle Harkin having a shot saved by Clarke. However, despite Aileach putting Moville under some pressure, it was the home side who moved further in front mid way through the half when a James Gillen free kick was headed home at the back post by the evergreen Graeme Doherty. The third goal arrived after 81 minutes after a forward ball was controlled by Kyle Harkin and he finished low to the bottom corner. The scoreline was complete right on the final whistle when Indyka’s shot from 20 yards found the top corner.
