Greencastle’s long trip to Dungarvan in the FAI Junior Cup got off to a great start James Henry put them ahead in the first minute Christy Hegarty made it 2-0 before half time,

Nigel Mc Monagle added a third in the second half and Greencastle keeper Dylan Doherty saved a penalty but things started going wrong for the Inishowen side then Dungarvan got a two goals back but it looked like Greencastle had held on until the referee awarded a dubious penalty in the 90th min and Dungarvan made it 3-3 to send the game into extra time, Dungarvan went 4-3 ahead in extra time and held on to advance to the last 16 of the competition Greencastle may have lost but they have done themselves and the Inishowen League Proud
