This was a close hard fought game which turned when the visitors scored twice in as many minutes before the break. Niall McLaughlin had an early effort for the visitors well saved by Fergal Bradley at the near post. At the other end Cade Cooke raced clear but was denied by a superb Brian Harris tackle. An audacious back heel by Mclaughlin on 40 minutes released Cathal McGrenaghan and he cooly finished low past Bradley to give the visitors the lead. Then before the break William Hutchinson advanced from half way to fire to the roof of the net from twenty yards. Culdaff sealed the tie on 66 minutes after Bryan McCandlesss swept home McGrenaghan’s cross. Five minutes later substitute home keeper Greg Doherty parried a McLaughlin strike but McCandless pounced to fire home. In the closing minutes Martin Keddy ran down the right and crossed for Jack McLaughlin to fire home from close range.
