Illies Res 0
Gleneely Colts 2
Illies had the better of opening exchanges but Gleneely were causing the home defence problems on the break. Gleneely took the lead mid way through the first half when an inswinging corner was not cleared and went in off a defender. Illies responded well and saw a twenty yard effort from Kealan Whoriskey come back off the upright and cleared to safety. Both sides had chances in the second half but Gleneely got the all important second goal when Illies lost possession deep in their own and Corey O’Brien raced clear to slide the ball under the advancing keeper. Both sides hit the post in the closing stages to see the game finish two nil to the visitors.
