There were few chances in this game until the visitors opened the scoring on 21 minutes when a Conor Doherty corner deflected off a defender and into the net. But Illies responded and both Michael & Martin Coyle had efforts go over the bar. The home side equalised on 33 minutes when the ball broke inside the area to Marty Coyle and from twelve yards he fired low past McGuinness. On the stroke of half time a Dominic Coyle cross found the unmarked Michael Coyle at the back post but he headed wide. Illies started the second half well and took the lead when Stephen Doherty fired a superb effort to the top corner from twelve yards after a great pass from Paddy Doherty. Stephen Doherty then blazed wide when well placed before Moville broke with Conor Doherty releasing Michael McNaught to drill low past Johnathan Noone. But Illies regained the lead when Stephen Doherty pulled the ball back into the path of Michael Gallagher and he fired high past McGuinness.  Michael Coyle Had a chance but blazed over  but with Movill pushing Illies broke on 87 minutes when David Doherty advancing and crossing for Dominic Coyle to tap home.

This match was played under the lights on Saturday night and although the home side’s Paddy Doherty missed an early penalty they did break the deadlock when Dominic Owen Coyle scored following a goalmouth scramble a quarter of an hour in. Five minutes later Coyle turned provider when he surged forward and delivered into the area where John Pio Donaghey headed to the net. The Point reduced the deficit when Paul Grant’s free from just outside the box found the target. However, Illies restored their two goal advantage close to half time when Marty Coyle broke the offside trap and fired low past visiting keeper Oisin Burke. On 56 minutes the returning Adam Harkin got on the end of a long ball from Caolan Doherty and fired home. But Illies then went on to score three further goals. Following a break Marty Coyle scored to make it 4 – 2 and the goal of the game arrived when Stephen Doherty beat two defenders on the edge of the area and found the bottom corner. Right at the death Dominic Owen Coyle completed the scoring after being set up by Stephen Doherty.
