Carn FC 1
Clonmany Shamrocks 2
In a very hard fought closely contested contest the home side started well and Darragh Deery sliced his effort and when it fell to Shane Doherty he fired narrowly over. Ryan Mclaughlin then had a shot on the run which just cleared the angle of the post and bar. Clonmany settled and took the lead on 36 minutes when Paul McDermott won possession and crossed for Mikey Friel to fire past Daniel Houghton from six yards. But Carn equalised within minutes when Ryan Kelly and Shane Doherty played a one two for Doherty’s low cross to be slotted past Patrick Harkin by Deery. The second half saw both teams contest well and the visitors took the lead again midway through the half when Michael Devlin pulled the ball across goal for Ferghal Harkin to drill low past Houghton. Carn replied and a Ronan Doherty effort just cleared the bar while a Darragh Deery effort was saved by Harkin. On the break Clonmany had the final chance when a Devlin effort was brilliantly tipped over by Houghton.

Greencastle FC 2
Carn started the game well and created three good chances with firstly Gert Dzerins firing over after Shane Doherty pulled the ball back into his path. Then the same player was denied by a good save from JP O Doherty before Keelan Doherty saw his effort clip the outside of the post on the half hour. Greencastle came into the game then and broke the deadlock on 41 minutes when Shaun Cavanagh flicked on a throw in for Matthew Henry to finish superbly past Daniel Houghton. Carn tried to press the visitors back in the second half but the nearest they came was when Darragh Deery had an effort well saved by O Doherty. Greencastle took advantage of one of their breaks to seal the points when Henry broke and his cross was swept home first time by Christy Hegarty to seal the points.

Culdaff Res 5
This was a close hard fought game which turned when the visitors scored twice in as many minutes before the break. Niall McLaughlin had an early effort for the visitors well saved by Fergal Bradley at the near post. At the other end Cade Cooke raced clear but was denied by a superb Brian Harris tackle. An audacious back heel by Mclaughlin on 40 minutes released Cathal McGrenaghan and he cooly finished low past Bradley to give the visitors the lead. Then before the break William Hutchinson advanced from half way to fire to the roof of the net from twenty yards. Culdaff sealed the tie on 66 minutes after Bryan McCandlesss swept home McGrenaghan’s cross. Five minutes later substitute home keeper Greg Doherty parried a McLaughlin strike but McCandless pounced to fire home. In the closing minutes Martin Keddy ran down the right and crossed for Jack McLaughlin to fire home from close range.
