Carn Res 2
Glengad Res 5

The visitors held the upper hand in the first half and were three up by half time. On the quarter hour mark P.J. Mc Daid ran through the middle to fire home and the lead was doubled when the same player chested down a cross from the left and found the net. Right on half time Paddy Doherty poked home in a crowded area. Carn reduced the deficit on the hour mark when Dayton Cooke drove low to the bottom corner for 3 – 1. But Glengad continued to push forward and were rewarded when Joe Doherty headed home. A Cade Cooke penalty awarded for an infringement made it 4 – 2 but Mc Daid completed the scoring as he notched his hat-trick.
